The MOWC is a nonprofit club whose purpose is to hold functions for members and their guests.
These functions foster friendship and encourage the growth of existing relationships.
Our major fundraiser supports military-affiliated community organizations in the New Orleans area sponsored by the Club.
MOWC Social Gatherings
Functions are held monthly from August to May and are open to members and their guests
Ambassador of Fun
The Ambassador of Fun is an Executive Board position created in 2004. It is modeled after Zulu's Minister of Fun. Our AoF plans extra events (besides our monthly gatherings) which can include plantation tours, museum tours, Muses shoe decorating--the possibilities are endless! Her goal is to add a touch of lightheartedness to MOWC events and embrace the Big Easy Attitude only found in New Orleans.
Whenever you see a bit of pink, be it feathers or flamingoes, or find a special token at an MOWC event, you'll know our Ambassador of Fun is up to something!
Lagniappe
Lagniappe means "a little something extra". The Wine Group, Drag Brunch, and Louisiana Derby Day are a few lagniappe events.
CAMAN Ball
MOWC is also a registered Mardi Gras Krewe in Orleans Parish. The Krewe of CAMAN holds a Mardi Gras Ball for military each year. CAMAN stands for Coast Guard, Army, Marine Corps, Air Force and Navy.

Sponsored Organizations
Each year we raise money to give to military-affiliated organizations which support youth. We donate funds to Naval Sea Cadet Corps (Andrew J. Higgins Squadron), Young Marines of Plaquemines Parish, New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy (NOMMA) and Bastion Community of Resilience.
